Yellow sapphire is a precious gemstone wore to get good effects of planet “Jupiter”. It is third hardest stone after Diamond and Ruby.

Urdu/presian- jard yaakut (جرد یاکوت)

Qualities of best yellow sapphire- According to ancient Indian astrology, ideal yellow sapphire should be deep yellowish, free from stain, transparent, smooth, intact, soft. The ideal color should be as “Yellow oleander flower” or flower of “golden shower tree”.

Effect of ideal yellow sapphire- Such yellow sapphire increases wealth, fame, happiness, and longevity. It also helps curing tuberculosis.

Natural occurrence, source of Yellow sapphire- Yellow sapphire is primarily found in Russia, Rhodesia,  Japan, Mexico, Tasmania, Colorado, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. In India Yellow sapphire is found in West Bengal, Orissa and in the vicinity of Himalayas.

This Yellow sapphire should be avoided.

1.       Vertical lines on yellow sapphire brings hostility amongst friends and relatives.

2.       White milk like shades in Yellow sapphire increases chances of accident.

3.       The yellow sapphire stone which is not “Shiny” may be harmful to the health of wearer.

Individuals with Sagittarius and Pisces ascendant.

If Jupiter is placed in 5^th, 6^th, 8^th, and 12^th house of Lagna chart.

Yellow sapphire healing properties-  according to Ayurveda, yellow sapphire can be helpful in vomiting, cough,  disorders related to gases, loss of appetite,  Leprosy,  Hemorrhoids.

Authentic yellow sapphire bhasma (भस्म) can be used under certified Ayurveda practitioner. 

Procedure to wear Yellow sapphire

Yellow sapphire of less than 3 carat is not effective. To get best effect wear 5, 7 or 9 carat yellow sapphire.

Before wearing one of following mantra should be chanted 19000 times

1.       Om Brim brihaspataye namah(ॐ ब्रूम ब्रिहस्पतये नमः)

2.       Om gram grim grom sah guruve namah (ॐ ग्राम ग्रीम ग्रोम सः गुरुवे नमः)

3.       Devanam cha rushinam cha, guru kanchan sannibham

Buddhibhutam trilokesham tam brihaspati pranamayaham

(देवानं च रुषिनाम च, गुरु कान्चं संनिभम

बुद्धिभूतम त्रिलोकेषम तं बृहस्पति प्रनामाम्यहम)

4.       Om aim klim hum brihaspataye namah (ॐ एम कलीम हम ब्रिहस्पतये नमः)

Guru Gayatri mantra

Om angirasay vidmahe, divya dehay dhimahi, tanno jivah prachodayat.

(ॐ अंगीरसाये विद्महे दीव्य देहाय धीमहि तन्नो जीवः प्रचोदयात्)

To gain superior effect one should recite 76000 times. After reciting on Thursday evening 1 hour after sun sets, Yellow sapphire should be washed with cow’s raw milk, followed by water of Ganges and should be worn in index finger.
